Ancestor Reconnect offers services to trace your ancestors from as little as £10. A one hour for an online search or for research at a library or archives costs £30. A visit to a register office to order or collect birth, marriage or death certificates costs £10. Click on the heading SERVICES OFFERED for more details.

GETTING STARTED

The first decisions you need to make are (a) which individual you would like Ancestor Reconnect to research for you and (b) how much time you would like to spend on that research. Click on the heading GETTING STARTED for more details.

ONLINE SEARCHES

An online search consists of accessing websites such as Ancestry.com, Find My Past, The Genealogist, ScotlandsPeople and rootsireland. Records will be cross referenced with different sites to make sure that as much accurate information as possible is provided. Click on the heading ONLINE SEARCHES for more details.

ONLINE RESEARCH PACKAGES

Online Research uses internet websites such as Ancestry.co.uk, Find My Past, The Genealogist and ScotlandsPeople. Click on the heading ONLINE SEARCHES for more details about what is available online.

Example of Skeleton Family History (5 generations)

Here is an example of what you would receive if you chose the Skeleton option for your Family History. The example traces 5 generations from the starting individual (My own grandfather, Samuel) to his 3 x Great Grandfather. However, as it includes the 4 x Great Grandparents in the short biography of the 3x Great Grandfather, the number of generations back is actually 6. The price for a 5 generation search such as this would be £150 and would include a free chart. A Skeleton option is available from one generation at a cost of £30. Click on the image to view more.

Example of Family History Chart

Here is an example of my Family History Chart going back on the maternal line up to the 4th Great Grandparents (10 generations). A Chart would be available when purchasing 3 or more generations. The cost of this would be £30 per generation. However, if you purchase a Full or Skeleton Package you can receive a Chart of that research as an add on for £10 per Chart. Anyone purchasing a Full or Skeleton Package of £100 or more will be offered a FREE Chart with their package.
